How do I know that my alarm system is working?
Your alarm system is programmed to send a daily test signal to our receivers. If the daily signal is not received then our Monitoring room will receive a notification within your account and the operator will action the event according to your account instructions. However we do recommend that as per the Australian Standards that you test your alarm system once a month by calling The Monitoring Room to perform a walk test of the alarm system.
Why does my alarm system test daily?
To provide the highest level of security your alarm system is programmed to automatically send a daily test signal to ensure that the alarm is communicating back to base – ensuring that alarm activations are received by the monitoring station & the appropriate actions that have been pre-determined by the customer can be instigated.
Why should I have openings and closing feature enabled on my commercial alarm system?
This is to ensure that your alarm system has been armed. If you have not armed your alarm system by the scheduled closing time or if the alarm system is armed or disarmed outside of the scheduled opening times then you will be notified by the control room. There is no extra monitoring cost for Custom Security Services to provide this service to you as it is already included in your monitoring fee. The only cost to the customer will be the cost of a local phone call from your alarm system to our receivers.
How do I add or change Pin Codes?
You can call CSS 24/7 for one of our operators to talk you through adding or changing codes. We also have a service department that can send a trained alarm technician to help.
